Welsh Open Challenger Championship

Richard,
I cannot let another hour go
by without writing some sincere words of thanks to you and all the Brenig
people for a splendid weekend. It has probably been said before but this year
surely the Regatta was the best ever W0CC.
Everything has a place and
everything was in place. Your members were superb in every department and
excelled in everything they put their hands to.
Of special mention, if accolades are allowed without causing offence, Challenger sailors appreciated the catering facilities, the degree to which Brenig people (male and female) involved themselves doggedly in launching and recovery duties. More than anything, it was noted that all your members present at the club devoted their entire time to our Event, to the detriment of their own sailing and leisure activities.
Your leadership, the warm welcome we received, the
organization and the backing of all your members present meant a great deal to
our 'colourful travellers' and I am sure we shall relish for many a day the
sheer joy and zest of the whole weekend.
I do hope you can find time to
read this letter aloud at your next Committee Meeting and post a copy in some
prominent position for all to see.
For our part we will be
telling our members who did not travel what a great experience they missed and
I am sure, if you could do the same at your end then the Event in the years
ahead can go only from strength to strength.
